Our
Church
Spring
Mountain Baptist Church was first organized as Cane
Creek Gap Church in 1889. Then, in 1896, the church was
reconstructed on a hill in the Spring Mountain community and
renamed Spring Mountain Baptist Church. Even though the
church
did not
have electricity until 1948, they still had church
with an
old wood
stove and little kerosene lamps.
Today,
the church is still alive with members that love the Lord
and
a vibrant youth. From the first visit, you truly feel
like you are a part
of a loving family that really cares about
you and your needs.
Preaching,
singing, Sunday school classes, food, and activities,
there is something for each member of your family. Come and
enjoy Christian fellowship at Spring Mountain Baptist Church.

loving pastor has been preaching the good news at
Spring Mountain Baptist Church since 1999.
We
are so thankful to have such a wonderful pastor
who loves
the Lord and serves Him with all his heart.

I'm
thankful to be able to say I was raised in a Christian
home. At an early age God gloriously saved my soul.
I was one of those kids who had the great fortune of
having a preacher for a dad. We were in church every
Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night, and a
lot of other nights.I
had praying parents who regularly called my name out
to God, and it payed off.
At the age of 7, at home one night, God came by my house.
The seed of the Word of God had been sown in my heart,
watered through the tears of my parents prayers, and
that night, God began dealing with my heart. He showed
me I was lost and headed to Hell. I couldn't escape
Hell because my dad was a preacher, or because my parents
were both saved, I needed a relationship with Him myself.
That night at an old black couch in the living room,
I asked Jesus to save me and, Praise His Name, HE DID!
At
the age of 19, I married my one and only wife, Debi.
She has been such a help to me, God knew what He was
doing when He brought us together. At the age of 23
I was ordained as a deacon, and we had our first son,
Jordan. At the age of 27 I answered God's call on my
life to preach His Holy Word. Shortly after, we had
our second son, Mason.
God
truly has been good to me. I have been pastoring Spring
Mountain Baptist Church since December of 1999. God
has done so much at the church, I couldn't even begin
to tell it all. I am so undeserving to pastor such a
wonderful group as this. God has knit our hearts together
and we are excited about what God has in store at Spring
Mtn.
